THE HOUSE OF TAK

 Born from Tradition,

Cultured by Innovation

Up until two hundred years ago when lapis lazuli was the only source of the ultramarine pigment, blue colour was so rare even masters like Michelangelo could not use at his own convenience. After the invention of synthetic ultramarine, blue became universally available to everyone. Since then artists have yielded countless masterpieces in blue. On this wise, the advancement of human technology finally succeeded in creating enchanting precious gems with an unparalleled opulence.

Having graduated from the prestigious Haute École de Joaillerie in Paris, creative director TAK has worked as an artisan joaillier with numerous houses of Place Vendôme over the past 12 years. Since the beginning of her career, she endlessly contemplated upon a solution to the many ethical and environmental conflicts naturally mined gems entailed. Whilst she had a firm devotion as a jeweler, the exhaustive process of natural mining was simply against her ethical principles.

When she first encountered laboratory-grown gems, not only was she mesmerized by their enchanting glow, but thrilled by the infinite new possibilities they bore. Together with the craftsmanship of French jewellery making these innovative gems would open the path for a new sustainable future. Thus she established Maison TAK, a pioneer of ethical laboratory-grown high jewellery.
